We had a really nice dinner on Sunday night...prime rib and fresh crab! Our friends from England...Nigel and Julie arrived late Saturday night. With travel delays and different routes it took them about 24 hours to get here. They are celebrating Christmas with our family!!
Nigel and my dad met 40 years ago when Nigel was 16 and my dad was 14. Nigel came to the World Scout Jamboree in Idaho and spent a few days with my grandparents having an American experience! It is remarkable how the friendship has continued through all these years...both of their mom's need to be acknowledged for that as they wrote letters and traveled to see each other. Nigel and Julie travel to Utah more frequently then we travel to England, but we enjoy having them come. 13 years ago we had the opportunity to spend Christmas in England (it does not seem like that long) and it was an awesome experience! We hope that Nigel and Julie enjoy their Christmas in America!!
