Once upon a time there was a snail and a frog. They where friends. The wend under wather. They found two mermards. They made frends. The End.
(Written by Lucie mid 1st grade. Spelling and story typed just as Lucie wrote the original. My favorite part of the story is when she said they made friends. This struck me as so sweet and simple)!
