BYU Hockey Halftime

In February Jacks Mini Mites hockey team was asked to play a mini game during the first halftime of the BYU Alumni hockey game. Jack was extremely excited for this event! He invited grandma/grandpa, Brigham, his friend Drew and of course our family was there to cheer him on!

Anxiously waiting to get on the ice in the tunnel.  Jack has the yellow mouth guard.  One of his coaches, Tanner is standing at the back of the pack.

The throw down of the puck.

In action...

Lucie and her friend Halle made signs to cheer Jack on.  They are holding them up to the glass.  It was very sweet of them.

Jack is really enjoying hockey.  He has definitely come a long way in the year that he has been playing.  He is a lot more confident in himself and his abilities.  The skills that his coaches have been teaching him are really beginning to click.  He is watching the puck a lot better, is starting to skate backwards better, and wants to be in the middle of the action.  By the end of his Saturday scrimmages he is usually pretty tired.  He is a good team player and really tries to pass the puck and watch out for his friends.  It is cute....(manly:) to see him chat with his friends and tell them "good game!"
