School County Fair

Luc and Jack's school library had a Summer read...

 We choose to read this book as a family. It was a fun read. Our favorite chapter was when the parents went away and the kids were on their own. They kept making ice cream and went through the whole tub of sugar. We were laughing the whole chapter. It also made us appreciate that we can go to the store to buy butter and ice and pretty much anything that we want. What a completely different world to live in when you have to make and grow everything that you need.
If you read the book over the Summer you were invited to a County Fair.  The librarian did a fabulous job putting together this fair.  There were various activities from the book that the kids good participate in.  They could pull a hand cart, dip candles, basket weave, pet animals, participate in a bucket brigade, walk on stilts, and the yummiest part was have bread with butter and jam!
