Palisades campground decided to do there first ever paddle boat race the weekend we were there. One of the rangers came around recruiting participants and my dad and Trent signed up. It actually worked out nicely because we had planned on renting a paddle boat and since my dad, Trent, Lucie and Jack all rode in the paddle boat for the race they were content with that as their ride...nice free ride!

My dad and Trent did so awesome to be patient and consistent in their paddling. When everyone took off from the starting line it was kind of crazy, but our team hung back and then went away from everyone else. They just cruised along and ended up coming in 4th place out of 8 boats!! They did awesome and most importantly they had a fun time!

That looks like fun! I may have to give Palisades another try. Randy took me there for my birthday like 10 years ago and we stayed in this really old haunted bed and breakfast-- quite the memory. this one looks a lot more fun!
