11 months...almost 12

Oh my goodness this month is flying by. I better hurry and write something about 11 months old for Ruby because she is quickly approaching 12.

Ruby is such a sweetheart. She is very active and social. She has really good balance and will stand in the middle of the room for a couple of minutes, but has not quite figured out how to move her legs. Her upper body sways back and forth and you can tell she is trying to figure it out. One of these days she is going to take off.
She can go and up down the stairs and has also figured out how to turn herself around at the top of the stairs when she is coming down.
Ruby loves the dishwasher. Whether she is in her walker or free she manages to get the silverware out the dishwasher and one time she did pick up a plate. Her and Sophia were quite entertained by sitting on the dishwasher lid one day when I was trying to load it.

Ruby and Sophia are becoming good little friends. It is so sweet how excited they get when they see each other. They each have their own little personalities.

Ruby wants to be where Lucie and Jack are. She watches them playing outside and either screams or laughs when they get close.

Trent thinks Ruby and Jack are kindred spirits. Ruby lights up when Jack walks into the room and especially when he starts talking to her. Ruby really likes playing cars with Jack.

We have been able to get into some good routines with Ruby this month. She takes a nap while Luc and Jack are both at school. I think she enjoys the quiet house and at bedtime we sing this little song saying night night to all of her toys, books, and then we turn out the light switch. She knows when it is approaching the time to turn out the light. She gets all excited and puts her little finger on the switch to turn it off.
