A Sucessful Scout Auction!

200 Baked Potatoes and a shaved head later (earned $50)...
our ward had its best earnings ever for the annual scout auction. This was the 4th year that Trent has coordinated the auction with the help of his YM's presidency and scout leaders. Local businesses and ward members donated items and services that were auctioned off in either a silent or live auction. Some of the big items this year were a picnic bench, kitchen-aid mixer, toddler tricycles, one night stay at a bed and breakfast, truck box, simple will, various eating establishments .
The auction is a lot of fun and very addicting once you start to bid on items. I love it when you bid back and forth with someone! My uncle, who is a professional auctioneer is awesome to come and do the live auction...THANKS Bill!

I had to include this picture of my aunt and Jack...Jack was sooo excited to see Sharon. He started jumping up and down outside the minute they arrived! At the end he was sitting on her lap so nicely, but of course he would only do his cheesy smile for the camera!

Wow Trent had his head shaved, huh? What does he think? Did you do all those potatoes?

What a sacrifice to give up the hair. It looks good and now he matches up with Jack. What a great idea for a fundraiser.
